This broad standing home was inspired by another of Fairmont Homes NSW houses in Grasmere, which won the 2010 MBA Merit for best contract home over $1 Million.
The house has a grand feel. The entry leads to a luxurious sunken formal lounge room complete with a gas fireplace. The master bedroom has a presidential suite feel to it, with its parents retreat lounge room, large balcony, walk in robe, and unique styled ensuite with open ended shower.
The fully tiled alfresco area includes an outdoor fireplace, and is accessible from the kitchen/meals area as well as the bar/games room. The pool is cleverly situated between the alfresco and the back wall of the garage to provide wind protection and to create a pleasant view from the formal lounge room.
Other features of this home include 4 bathrooms in total, a 4 car garage with an internal storage room, butler’s kitchen, and a large personal study.
The final house size came in at 700sqm
This house is truly one of a kind, built to the owner's specific idea of creating a Balinese feel in the heart of acreage area, Grasmere.
Fairmont Homes have worked closely with the owner to accommodate for the many items imported from overseas, and to contribute to the overall theme of the house. This magnificent home is fully rendered with an extensive use of James Hardie columns and corbelling around the windows. The eaves feature a soffit moldings which had to be exclusively sourced from Queensland.
The front door was imported from Bali and was customised to be installed.
Travertine features throughout the house.
The master bedroom is most impressive with its open ensuite, huge rear balcony, his and hers walk-in-robes, and the small outdoor room to the front of the house as well as many features through niches and timber work. An interesting design feature is the turret, which houses the wrap-around staircase, and features stepped windows to illuminate the stairs and provide light for the master bedroom entry.
In early 2010, Fairmont Homes NSW won the tender to construct the Land Sales and Information Centre for Sydney’s newest estate, Gregory Hills.
We are proud to have completed this architecturally designed structure to the high standard that was necessary. It was a joy and pleasure for both the construction manager and supervisor to see the finished product at the quality it has come out of.
The structure was designed in such a way that once the sales centre has served its purpose as a sales office, it will be converted into a duplex.
External features of the building include a mixture of Shadowclad, colorbond sheeting, brickwork and render. The internal features display 4 step cornice, polished timber flooring, two storey glass voids, tiles and a café.
The Centre is located at 18 McKenzie Boulevard, Gregory Hills NSW 2557
